Jeff Shafer, camp director, is beginning his third year as head coach of the Seminole State Trojans. After 22 years as a high school baseball head coach, Coach Shafer returns to Seminole State where he played from 1980-1982. He and his college teammates compiled a won-loss record of 164-16 and were NJCAA National Runner-Up in 1981 and 1982. He then continued his career at Texas Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. He spent seven summers working in player development for the Minnesota Twins organization. Coach Shafer´s players are always fundamentally sound and continually strive to reach new levels of excellence. Seminole State baseball camps will reflect the same philosophy. Campers will receive the highest quality of instruction in baseball fundamentals and will participate in a variety of drills to improve their mechanics of hitting and pitching. His camps are always considered a place where "the best get better." |

James Martin is a native of Eufaula, OK. He played at Seminole in 1990-1991 where the Trojans went 153-9 and two World Series appearances. James was drafted out of Eufaula High School, both seasons at Seminole and after his junior season at Oklahoma State University. He played 10 years of professional baseball ending up in AAA with the Dodgers, Mets, and Astros. James played one season in Taiwan as well. His experience and desire to teach young men the proper way to play the game of baseball is second to none. |

Charlie Duval | |||

Charlie Duval is beginning his fourth year as Assistant Coach at Seminole State College. Coach Duval graduated from Valley Christian High School in Missoula, MT. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Montana in 2005. He served as the assistant coach for Missoula Mavericks from 2002-2005. Charlie is in charge of Catchers and the weight room. Coach Duval coordinates the weight room routines as well as the conditioning through out the year. |

Mark Allan | |||

Mark Allen is a native of Vernon Texas. He played 4 years of collegiate baseball before becoming a college baseball coach. He pitched all 4 years in college. Allen began his coaching career at St. Gregory's University while completing his bachelors degree. Following St. Gregory's University, he was the pitching coach at Northlake Junior College before moving on to Frank Phillips College for a year. Coach Allen switch roles at Frank Phillips where he was used as the hitting coach. The Plainsmen hit .331 as a team under Allen. After the '04 season Coach Allen made his way to North Central Texas College in Gainesville Texas for the next 4 years. In those 4 years, his pitching staffs amassed over 135 wins, went deep in 2 regional tournaments, and rearranged numerous pitching records. Not only was he the pitching coach but was also the recruiting coordinator. While coaching in the college ranks during the school year, he has also gained a lot of valuable experience in some of the better collegiate summer leagues in the country. In the summer of '99 Allen's arms led the Southwest Texas Collegiate in ERA. In '07 Coach Allen's Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League led the entire league in team ERA with a 2.93. In Just 7 years of coaching, he has had 12 pitchers who have been under his instruction drafted or signed to play professional baseball. He has also had 22 pitchers go on to pitch a the Division 1 level. Aside from being a year round pitching coach and recruiting coordinator, Coach Allen is also married with 2 daughters. His wife's name is Angela who is also a coach. She is a high school head volleyball and softball coach in Texas. He has a 7 year old name Skylar Jade and a 3 year old name Avery Shay. |
